Monday October 24th, 2011 18:48 The future of 3D render (and possibly Photoshop)!

Rendering Synthetic Objects into Legacy Photographs from Kevin Karsch on Vimeo.

Listen up designers. This amazing piece of software (in development) allows users to place a 3D (CAD) model directly into a photograph, rendering it with realistic lighting and reflections. All this without the need for backplates or even HDR images. We don’t know how long this product will take to hit the market, but we’re sure some big wig software company is kicking it’s self for not getting there first. We can easily see this as a great plugin for Photoshop!

Check out the video to see this thing in action! It’s impressive!

Saturday July 16th, 2011 03:00 Ex-Pixar Designer Creates Amazing Kids’ App

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is an amazing new interactive kids iPad book created by author and illustrator William Joyce. An ex-Pixar character designer, Joyce has also won a bunch of Emmys, created covers for the New Yorker and worked for Dreamworks and Disney but this new creation could top them all. The video explains it better than I ever could, so just sit back, and be prepared to want this, no matter what age you are. Read more about it here.
